Kids, gotta love em!

So the other morning Arika comes out of her room and throws down one of her toys. I look at her and tell her "No, we don't throw toys." Then a few minutes later she does it again. And again I tell her "No! We don't throw toys."
It just so happened that we were in classes that day for Parent child relationships. And we were talking about how kids do what they see not what they hear! Jim and I looked at each other and realized that Arika has seen us "toss" her toys into her room or into her toy box, or seen us "throw something into our room so it is out of the way, or even a dishcloth to each other! What was she doing? Doing what she saw mommy and daddy do! It is so hard to tell your child no when you are doing the same thing!!!

Gotta love em,
Joy

This Means Happy Birthday to me in Arika-eese. She typed that for you all to know that she is 1 year old today. What a Big girl she is getting to be. We even got her to eat off a spoon on her own. I wish we had pictures to share but as you well know, we are still waiting for a camera and laptop parts so they can be fixed. What a bummer to have them both out at the same time especially now! Anyway we can still make sure she knows we love her VERY much!

Happy First Birthday Munchkin!

Joy, Jim, and Arika
